Join us for The Breakthrough Gala on May 13th, for an unforgettable evening celebrating education, opportunity, and the incredible students and teachers of Breakthrough Greater Boston.
Each year, The Breakthrough Gala raises critical funds that ignite a passion for learning, create pathways to and through college, and prepare future educators for rewarding careers through immersive classroom experiences. This year’s Gala will feature our largest-ever Education Station expo, giving guests a hands-on look at the transformative work we do to change lives and open doors to college and career success.
We are thrilled to take over the stunning Boston Children’s Museum after hours—a fitting setting to celebrate Greater Boston’s hardest-working students and educators. The evening will begin with a light reception with food and drink followed by an inspirational program. This is the premiere event championing educational equity and access across Greater Boston and not to be missed. Join us for a very special evening of impact, inspiration, and celebration!

Join us to see Breakthrough’s Summer Program in action. We will be hosting Summer Visits across all three of our campuses in Boston, Cambridge, and Somerville. During your visit, you will have the opportunity to observe a Breakthrough classroom, experience our daily Community Meeting, and chat with Teaching Fellows.

The 17th Annual Breakthroughs in Education forum was held on Tuesday, February 11th, sponsored by Takeda Pharmaceuticals and hosted by Ernst & Young at their Boston office. The program, Beyond the Ruling: Advancing Equity in Education, featured a profound panel of experts who shared their expertise and perspectives on the effect of the 2003 Supreme Court ruling that ended affirmative action in U.S. college admissions.

The Breakthrough Gala
The Breakthrough Gala was held at the Boston Center for the Arts Cyclorama. Among the evening’s honorees were our graduating seniors, including the Somerville campus’s first graduating senior class. The celebration featured testimonials from Breakthrough students, teachers, and alumni.
