Tell us about one way in which Breakthrough shaped your path?
Teaching at Breakthrough was a turning point in my journey in education (yes, even that early on!). I went into my first Breakthrough summer with my heart set on teaching first or second grade once I graduated. After working with my Breakthrough students, I instantly knew middle school was the age group for me. Shoutout to Shoko who totally predicted this would happen!
Most memorable Breakthrough moment?
Giving my speech at Celebration my second summer. It was the best way to close out two great years with the organization and recognize how incredible the students in this program are!
What are three words you would use to describe the Breakthrough community?
Passionate, Creative, Tireless.
